NO MORE WINTER! We want to play outside!
 |
| We wanted to show our support for the warm spring winds that visited today... |
 |
| We dressed in spring clothes and went outside to take a look....what is that bright thing in the sky? |
It was exceptionally warm today hitting +5 (celsius). After dealing with - 25 weather last week it felt like a warm summer breeze had descended upon us! We cautiously ventured outside without jackets or boots for a quick minute or two. We sent a clear message to old man winter and helped march in the spring. Our little girl has no history with winter or seasonal changes. We are excited for her as she will get to experience the joys of watching the birds return, trees bud, green grass, planting gardens, and warm rain.
Su Yee loves flags so she willingly held up the sign. The only tricky part was getting her to keep it still long enough for any kind of picture at all. She kept waving it around with cheers of "hooray". I can hardly wait to take her to her first small town parade.
That is too cute... we finally had some spring weather here too and it feels great, hopefully, we won't see too much winter! Love her outfit too!
ReplyDeleteBring on spring! We are so with you... We went for a drive today with the windows down and the children giggling. The sun felt so strong, but it is snowing/raining here now....
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to mention looking forward to the return of the mosquitoes!
ReplyDeleteYes...unfortunately mosquitoes are part of the spring and summer vacation package. Maybe we should ammend our sign a bit....Down with winter and mosquitoes!
ReplyDeleteSu Yee is so sweet! I love the pink top. You would have never guessed I loved pink right? I will try to get that book for you next year Christina. It comes out in the childrens scholastic book order around Chinese New Year. It is super cute!I am so ready for spring. The weather in NL really sucks.
